TenaCity to WindyCity Runyak June 28, 2018 July 9, 2018 TenaCity 2 WindyCity DAY 13 TenaCity 2 WindyCity DAY 14 CLICK ON ALL PHOTOS TO ENLARGE DAY 13 JOURNAL AND PHOTOS This was a trail I ran on to get back to Swifty at Point Lookout. The van was parked at a gravelly beach at the end of Alabaster Road. The trail parallels US 23 the entire 6 miles of Alabaster Township. I only ran on it a little over 2 miles. Next trip I will run from the north terminus near Tawas to Alabaster Rd. For years I'd driven past the trail going Up North and wanted to run it. It is delightful as it looked. Shoreline scene of Outer Saginaw Bay. Some say Lake Huron.  Inner Saginaw Bay would be south of Charity Island. Outer Saginaw Bay/Lake Huron boundary would be Point Aux Barques, tip of thumb to Point Tawas. No photos because I capsized and lost my smartphone. Others with me were Dan Rice, Matt Bartman, Kate Ferris and father Bob Ferris. We began paddling at from where Day 10 was aborted at the end of Dreyer Rd. The five of us did well until rounding Point AuGres. We were met by whitecaps. The other crafts were doing alright, but Swiftee soon capsized. Day 11 ABORTION. I said the the others after we all made it to shore that I was all done. No more TenaCity to WindyCity for me.  DAY 12 JOURNAL AND PHOTOS  After a month of thinking about it, I decided to once again continue the Flint to Chicago runyak.
