My arrival back at the Linwood bebarking point of DAY7, to plant Swiftee for DAY8 was just at the right time to catch the sunrising over the marshy landing.
After a 10.5 mile run I stood and the same place.
Linda Gamage who is trying to keep up with me, combined DAY7 and DAY8. They began at the mouth of the Saginaw River about the same time I began running from Pinconning. Dan Lamkin paddled the 17.2 miles with her to "Pinny."

Linda's 4 watery horizons photos
Linda borrowed a 17 foot kayak for Paddle Antrim last week. She kept it an extra week to use on her first open water paddle of T2W.
Dan Lamkin and his wooden kayak.
The traditional OFF photo. Their DAY7 paddle to catch up complete.
Jill Jenkins
Jill Jenkins and partner Chris Marty began paddling before the rest of us. She had to be at work that afternoon.
And the are off into the marsh. We never saw them the rest of the paddle.
Cap'n and First Mate
I give her that title for of the 42 participants thus far in the expedition she has been my side the most.

Goose hunters
Their craft reminded me of Dan Lamkin's hat.

5 of the 7 who paddled DAY8. So happy was I that Janet and husband Jason paddled with us.
Janet and Jason part own Tenacity Brewing our DAY1 starting point. They paddled on the maiden launch but had missed the last 6 paddles. Mostly because they are sailing and not paddling most of the weekends. They did not make it the entire way to Pinconning because of their small kayaks. The water was not rough today but it was slow paddling for some reason. I expected to be moving better that the 24 min/mi that we did.
Linda's marshy launch
Lots of marsh paddling today. We skirted it for the most part. A big section of marsh was Naynaquing Point State Wildlife Refuge
Two watery photos from Dan's camera.
I was trailing Jason and Janet at this point.

Landing photos of Bay County Pinconning Park's boat ramp
After 21 miles of runyaking Cap'n was pooped. Who mas more tired me of the two who had paddled 17.2 miles? Hard to say
Linda's 17 footer seemed gigantic to someone used to a 9.5 footer
OFF selfie of 3 of the 7 paddles today.
Dan and Linda were met my Dan's wife Tina, since they needed a ride all the way back to Bay City.
Thus ends DAY8. We've now paddled 88.2 miles from Flint and Runyaked 166.8 miles
